Houston Selected as Host of 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials
First time a single city is chosen for both men's and women's races
HOUSTON (Mar. 1, 2010) – The road to the 2012 Olympic Marathon in London will run through Houston. For the first time in the history of the U.S. Olympic Trials, one city will host the marathon for both men and women in the same year.

Derartu Tulu of Ethiopia was the women's champion in 2:28:52 at the 40th edition.

Gebreselassie gana por cuarta vez en Berlín
El plusmarquista mundial de maratón, el etíope Haile Gebreselassie, ganó por cuarta vez consecutiva el maratón de Berlín pero no logró su propósito de mejorar su propio récord del mundo al correr la distancia en un tiempo no oficial de 2h.06:07.
Gebreselassie estuvo más de un minuto por encima del récord que impuso hace un año también en la capital alemana con 2h.03:59.
